Michael A. Brennan is Senior Vice President and President Latin America and Asia-Pacific. He has full responsibility for all existing core product lines as well as geographic and new business expansion in these key regions. Currently Reader's Digest has operating companies in Mexico Brazil Argentina Australia Hong Kong Thailand Taiwan the Philippines Singapore and Malaysia.
Brennan joined Reader's Digest in 1990 as publishing director for the Special Interest Magazines Group. Since then he has held several positions in the Magazine Publishing Group Books and Home Entertainment Division Reader's Digest USA and Reader's Digest Europe. In November 1997 he was named Vice President Developing Markets with responsibility for the Asia Latin America and Central and Eastern European regions. He was appointed President Latin America Asia-Pacific in 1998.
Prior to joining Reader's Digest from 1987 to 1990 Brennan was vice president of McNamee Consulting Co. a management-consulting firm to the media industry. From 1982 to 1987 he was the general manager and co-founder of a start-up children's computer software company in Tarrytown New York.
Brennan is a former company commander and general staff officer in the U.S. Army. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Carnegie-Mellon University and a bachelor of science degree from the U.S. Military Academy. |
