Mia Blackler is Senior Counsel in the San Francisco office Litigation Group. She focuses her practice on commercial, real property and financial institutions litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Her litigation experience also includes auto finance, employment, equipment leasing, wrongful foreclosure, and commercial disputes. In addition, Ms. Blackler has broad experience in enforcing creditors' rights, including prosecuting collection actions and seeking prejudgment remedies. She has also handled complex fraud actions and defended consumer class actions.
Ms. Blackler was a double major in French and Linguistics at Cornell University, where she received a B.A. in 1993. She received her J.D. in 1996 from Boston University School of Law. During law school, Ms. Blackler served as Editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine and participated in the criminal clinic.
Ms. Blackler serves on the Board of Directors for Pets Unlimited, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter and adoption services, quality medical care and community education to foster the humane treatment of companion animals. Ms. Blackler also serves as a volunteer arbitrator for the State Bar of California's Mandatory Fee Arbitration program.
