Menna Bowen is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. She is a member of the Pensions & Incentives Group, where her practice focuses on share and cash based employee compensation design and tax planning.
Menna has a broad range of experience in dealing with trustees and employers on UK and International tax issues. Her skills are in designing and implementing complex share award structures, derivative based award structures, and advising hedge funds and financial services clients on remuneration issues. In the past she has advised on approved and unapproved compensation plans for financial services clients as well as providing tax advice to high net worth individuals, employers and companies and partnerships as a whole.
Having qualified as an advocate in the Netherlands, Menna has worked in the Tax and Legal department of a major international firm in London before qualifying as a barrister in the UK and completing pupilage in professional tax chambers as well as gaining experience in leading commercial chambers.
Menna holds a second degree in Japanese as well as a tax technical qualification.
