Melvin Menegat represents Wards 6 and 7 on the EWEB Board. He began his term in August 2003. He currently serves as the board's president.
Mel is a retired State of Oregon administrative law judge who also has worked as a deputy district attorney in Clackamas County, as a lawyer in private practice and as a legal assistant for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He served in the Oregon National Guard for 33 years.
Mel has lived in Eugene for nearly 30 years. As an EWEB Commissioner, his primary areas of interest are conservation, alternative power sources, and making sure EWEB maintains and upgrades its infrastructure. |
