Melvin M. Cox is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Sun Chemical, responsible for all activities and operations of the Corporate Legal Department. Mel joined Sun Chemical in 1989 as a Corporate Attorney and has been involved in the company's numerous acquisitions over the last 15 years. He was promoted to Senior Corporate Attorney in 1991, to Assistant General Counsel in 1995, and to his most recent position, Corporate Vice President and General Counsel, in 1997. Before joining Sun Chemical, Mr. Cox spent ten years as an attorney with Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company, and was in private practice with the Pittsburgh law firm of Rose, Schmidt, Chapman, Duff & Hasley.
