Mr. Muskovitz represents businesses, governmental units and not for profit organizations in labor and employment matters. Mr. Muskovitz' practice includes grievance arbitration, labor negotiations, employment litigation involving wrongful discharge and discrimination claims, non-compete agreements and workers' compensation. He also represents employers before federal and state administrative agencies throughout the country including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Michigan Employment Relations Commission, the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and the U.S. and Michigan Departments of Labor. Mr. Muskovitz devotes a substantial portion of his time assisting his clients in avoiding legal problems by preparing or reviewing employee handbooks, conducting employee training, advising on appropriate preventative measures and assisting with day to day employment issues including employee discipline and compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. |
