Melvin began his farming career in 1943, and is now semi-retired. He currently manages two LLC farms and a mobile home park (a sub-S chapter corporation). The farming operation consists of approximately 2,200 acres in Randolph, Wayne, and Shelby Counties in Indiana. He also served as the Hamilton County Auditor for 8-years.
Melvin is a member and Trustee of Gray Friends Church for 40 plus years. He and his wife have four children, and thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. |
