Melody Turner was named Managing Director in March 2002. Her broad based career has over the last 21 years included federal state and private correctional experience. Turner's work experience includes case management trainee duties at a coed multi-level institution at FCI Lexington and an extended career with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Her Ohio work has included various positions including deputy warden and warden. Turner was the first female warden named to administer an adult male close-max prison in Ohio. She joined CCA in September l997 as a Divisional Director and in 2000 was promoted to a Managing Director. Her duties include operational over sight to a number of facilities several states. Turner is an active member of ACA and has chaired the affiliate membership committee. She is a past president of the North American Association of Warden and Superintendents and currently serves on the Executive Board. She was the first president of the Ohio Wardens Association. Turner holds a bachelor's degree in criminology from Miami University of Ohio and a master's degree in business from Wright State University also in Ohio. |
