Melissa Ullerich joined VeraSun in the fall of 2005. As Director of Marketing and Communications she spearheads the company’s efforts to promote inform and educate consumers shareholders and other key stakeholders about the benefits and purpose of using ethanol and VeraSun’s mission to be a leading producer of renewable fuels.
Ms. Ullerich brings more than 15 years of marketing experience to VeraSun and a diverse background of working with multiple businesses in a variety of industries. Prior to VeraSun she worked as a private marketing consultant focused on strategic planning and corporate branding. She also served as Vice President of Communication Design Marketing Consultants in Lincoln Neb. where she led the company’s business development account service creative and strategic planning initiatives.
Since joining VeraSun Ms. Ullerich has led several marketing initiatives involving strategic partnerships with General Motors Ford and Enterprise Rent-a-Car in addition to communications around VeraSun’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) in June 2006. She is also responsible for branding efforts around VeraSun’s E85 VE85 - and its growth from seven stations in Sioux Falls to more than 110 stations in 11 states and Washington D.C. in just over two years.
A Sisseton S.D. native Ms. Ullerich graduated from South Dakota State University with a BA in graphic design and BS in Advertising with a minor in marketing.
A member of the American Marketing Association Public Relations Society of America and American Advertising Federation Ms. Ullerich also currently serves on the board of directors for the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC) and the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC). |
