Melissa was born in Jennings, Louisiana, and graduated from Iota High School. She then obtained a Master of Science degree in Audiology from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. After graduation, Melissa worked as an audiologist for a local clinic in Bangor, Maine, then attended Husson College in Bangor where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. When her family moved to Jackson, Melissa joined an accounting firm in the tax, audit, and small business departments. As a member of GranthamPoole’s tax team, Melissa’s primary focus is the preparation of tax returns for both individuals and corporations. Melissa and her husband, Steven, have two sons, Samuel and Benjamin, and the family attends St. Paul Catholic Church in Brandon, where Melissa serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Paul Early Learning Center. Melissa is currently serving as Treasurer for Birthright of Jackson. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. |
