Melissa is the Director of Operations at Clinical One and responsible for the overall management of the Administration, Accounting, Quality Assurance, and Housing departments. One of her biggest successes was achieving JCAHO certification for Health Care Staffing Services in April 2005 for the Travel and Case Management divisions, and then company-wide certification in May 2006. In addition to working closely with all of the Operations managers, Melissa also coordinates technology development and improvement projects, evaluates and monitors all workers compensation claims and medical malpractice issues, works with the Legal department to evaluate client contracts, and provides oversight to Human Resources on all legal personnel issues. Melissa has over 8 years of experience in the medical staffing industry and over ten years of clinical nursing experience. Prior to joining Clinical One, Melissa was employed as a Registered Nurse working in a variety of settings including a level one trauma center, a community hospital setting, and as an instructor for an Associates Degree RN Program. Her experience includes Intensive and Cardiac Care Units, Emergency Department, Recovery Room, Radiology, as well as a Clinical Instructor. Her clinical nursing experience has proven to be a major asset to her position as Director of Operations for Clinical One. Melissa received a Diploma in Nursing from Baystate Medical Center School of Nursing and went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, graduating as a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society for nurses. |
