Melissa Brinkerhoff brings 25 years of experience in international business development in more than 40 countries in every region of the developing world. Ms. Brinkerhoff currently manages the firm’s SEGIR General Business Trade and Investment (GBTI) and SEGIR Privatization II Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQCs). Ms. Brinkerhoff also directs CARANA’s regional practices for the Europe and Eurasia and the Middle East and North Africa regions and is responsible for developing and implementing CARANA’s enterprise development practice strategy. Ms. Brinkerhoff comes to CARANA from the International Finance Corporation where she was the senior program officer in the Small and Medium Enterprise Department. Prior to joining the IFC, Ms. Brinkerhoff served as USAID's Senior SME and Microenterprise Advisor for Europe and Eurasia, where she was responsible for new initiatives in 22 countries. Ms. Brinkerhoff holds an M.A. in applied/economic anthropology from the American University and a B.A. in international studies from the University of the Pacific. |
