Melissa Stockley Jones joined Smith Anderson in November of 2000. She concentrates in the area of medical malpractice defense litigation where she assists attorneys in every stage of the case. Prior to joining Smith Anderson, she worked in the areas of personal injury, collections, construction litigation and bankruptcy.
Ms. Jones earned her designation of Certified Paralegal (CP) from the National Association of Legal Assistants in April of 1998. She received her designation of North Carolina Certified Paralegal (NCCP) from the North Carolina State Bar in December of 2005. She is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, North Carolina Paralegal Association and North Carolina Bar Association - Legal Assistant Division. Ms. Jones served as Chair for the North Carolina Paralegal Association's 2002 and 2003 CLA Review Course. Since 2004, Ms. Jones has served as First Vice-President for the North Carolina Paralegal Association. |
