Melissa M. Barr is an associate of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. She concentrates her practice in the areas of Insurance Bad Faith Litigation, Civil Law, Automobile Accident Litigation, and Premises Liability, with a particular emphasis in Insurance Defense. Ms. Barr is a member of the West Virginia State Bar. She is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, and United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Barr served as a law clerk to Judge Charles E. McCarty, Fifth Judicial Circuit; an assistant prosecutor for Jackson County, West Virginia; and State Farm Claim litigation counsel. Ms. Barr graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, in 1996 with a B.A. in International Relations and German. She received her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 1999. |
