As the Vice President of Communications & Public Relations, Melissa works to articulate Gifts In Kind International's key messages, including its mission, vision, program and values, to the organization's many stakeholders. She works closely with the leadership team to identify opportunities to illustrate the impact Gifts In Kind programs have on people around the world.
With more than 17 years in the field of nonprofit communications, Melissa previously managed communications at IFES and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Other nonprofits she has worked with include the National Endowment for Democracy, the National Wildlife Federation and the National Recreation and Park Association. A former Peace Corps volunteer (Russian Far East), she possesses a bachelor's degree from Cornell University and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. |
