Melissa Rye concentrates her practice on employment litigation including counseling clients on compliance with Title VII, ADA, ADEA and FMLA. She has practiced employment law in both Colorado and Texas and has handled various administrative proceedings as well as state and federal court matters.
Melissa is a member of the Texas Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Habitat for Humanity, Attorneys Serving the Community, and performed regularly in the Dallas Bar Association's annual minority scholarship fundraising variety show BarNone. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
During law school, she was a member of the University of Denver Law Review and authored Note, "Civil Commitment and the Sexually Violent Predator: Stability Without Tyranny and Liberty Without Anarchy," 75:2 Denv. U. L. Rev. 1998.
