Meliha Pérez Halpern is a member of the Personal Injury Practice Group. Mrs. Pérez Halpern takes a personal approach in working with her clients, guiding them through the legal and bureaucratic insurance system so they can focus on recovery.
Mrs. Pérez Halpern has served as Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee and Membership Committee for the DC Trial Lawyers Association. She frequently speaks on basic traffic laws and what to do in the event of an accident. Mrs. Pérez Halpern has also provided pro-bono legal services through St. Anthony’s Church and crochets blankets for Project Linus, which donates new handmade blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need.
A native of Puerto Rico, she received a B.A. degree from The George Washington University and a J.D. degree and a Certificate in International Law from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law where she was a member of the school's National Moot Court Team. As a member of the fraternity, she served as the Vice Justice, Justice and International Convention Representative, and she has served as the Treasurer of the National Capital Area Alumni Chapter.
An avid runner, Mrs. Pérez Halpern completed the 33rd Marine Corp Marathon in 2008.
