Melanie R. Khan is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Los Angeles office. As a member of the Firm’s Private Client Department, Melanie works with clients to develop estate planning, tax and business planning solutions designed to meet specific objectives and family circumstances. Her experience includes structuring and negotiating closely held business dispositions, wills, trusts, administration of trusts and estates, and long-term planning for multigenerational wealth.
Melanie is the co-author of Contested Claims Against Decedents’ Estates, Guardianship Estates, and Trusts in the current edition of the book Estate, Trust and Guardianship Litigation.
Melanie is admitted to practice in Illinois and California. Melanie is also a certified public accountant.
