Mel Feder is a Partner with Loeb & Troper's Financial Health Care Consulting Division and is involved in managing and coordinating extensive health care consulting and auditing engagements for the firm's primary, acute and long-term health care clientele. Mr. Feder has over twenty years of experience in financial, reimbursement and managerial accounting services to the health care industry. In addition to his extensive background assisting clients in addressing such diverse issues as financial feasibility and fiscal impact analyses, preparing financial projections and conducting forecasting, appraising and valuation of health care facility business operations and assisting in client merger and acquisition activities, Mr. Feder has developed a niche preparing clients for the intense governmental scrutiny involved with corporate compliance investigations. Mr. Feder is a graduate of the City College of New York and earned his BS degree, magna cum laude, in 1971. Mr. Feder earned his MBA degree at Iona College (1975), summa cum laude, and was the recipient of the Ralph H. Horton award for academic excellence. Mr. Feder's professional credentials include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he served as Chairman of the Health Care Institutions Committee. Mr. Feder has published various articles on health care and accounting matters in such publications as the CPA Journal, HFMA Newscast and the Practical Accountant, and is a well-known lecturer on topics relating to health care and financial reimbursement matters. |
