Mel S. Lavitt joined C. E. Unterberg, Towbin in 1992. Prior to joining Unterberg, he had his own financial advisory business, Lavitt Management, Inc., from June 1987 until August 1992. From 1977 to 1986, he was a General Partner and Administrative Managing Director of L.F. Rothschild Unterberg, Towbin, where his responsibilities included the marketing and sales of the firm's public and private offerings. In 1962, he joined C.E. Unterberg, Towbin as a Partner in institutional sales after beginning his investment banking career at Bear Stearns in 1959.
Mr. Lavitt serves on the boards of Jabil Circuit, Inc., Migo Software and St. Bernard Software. He is a graduate of Brown University. |
