In 2005, Hope was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer of Popeyes® Chicken & Biscuits, assuming responsibility for all brand finance initiatives, while continuing to assist with AFC accounting and audit functions as the AFC corporate center winds down and fully integrates into the Popeyes corporate offices. Prior to his current role, he served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer at AFC Enterprises, responsible for directing the Company’s Finance Unit.
Hope is an experienced leader of public and private finance transactions, mergers and acquisition activities and divestitures and initial public offerings.
Prior to joining AFC, Hope was the Chief Financial Officer of First Cambridge HCI Acquisitions LLC, a real estate investment firm. While at First Cambridge, he spearheaded the company’s financial modeling for a proposed IPO, oversaw P&L budgeting, general ledger control, financial statements preparation and management of the Company’s daily operations.
Hope also served in the audit and business advisory services group with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for 17 years and was admitted to the partnership in 1999. During that time, he was a member and later became director of PwC’s engagement team for audits and accounting-related projects for numerous clients. In addition, Hope led project teams providing sell-side support on M&A transactions and assisted clients in raising capital through equity and debt offerings.
Hope holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Belhaven College, where he graduated with honors.
Hope serves on the Property Committee of the Board of Trustees for Zoo Atlanta and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. |
