Megan Fitzgerald oversees our space operations and was responsible for the development and production of the first generation Globalstar space segment. Her responsibilities include satellite constellation management (engineering and operations) and control center software development and maintenance. Ms. Fitzgerald is also responsible for current strategic initiatives within the space segment; including planning and executing the launch of the Globalstar spare satellites and the evaluation of a second-generation constellation. She is also responsible for evaluating business opportunities within the satellite industry.
Ms. Fitzgerald has been with Globalstar and its Predecessor since 1994 and served as acting Senior Vice President, Operations and Engineering from February 2002 to April 2004, Senior Vice President, Operations from November 2000 to February 2002, and as Senior Vice President, Space Operations from May 1999 to November 2000.
Prior to Globalstar Ms. Fitzgerald spent 11 years with Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in both engineering and business development roles. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. |
