Jay Brown concentrates his civil litigation practice in the defense of medical malpractice claims, and has had extensive experience in complex, commercial litigation. For over twenty-two years, Mr. Brown has successfully defended physicians and hospitals in federal court as well as in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties, including the more distant Berks and Lancaster Counties. Jay's marriage to a physician has enabled him to have a unique and insightful perspective on his healthcare practice. Mr. Brown is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Bar Associations of Pennsylvania and Montgomery County where he serves on the Bar Medical-Legal Committee. Mr. Brown graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Williams College where he attained Phi Beta Kappa and highest honors in Philosophy. Mr. Brown is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the Third and Sixth Circuits. |
