Meaghan A. Repko joined Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher in 2006 with a wide range of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring support and crisis communications.
Since joining Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher she has helped develop communications strategies for a number of restructurings and reorganizations including Calpine Corp., Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center, the Portland Trail Blazers and Movie Gallery. Additionally, Ms. Repko serves as public and investor relations advisor and spokesperson for Movie Gallery.
Ms. Repko's recent transaction experience includes: QIAGEN's acquisition of Digene; Biosite Inc. regarding its acquisition by Inverness Medical; Triad Hospital regarding its acquisition by Community Health Systems; Dollar General's agreement to be acquired by KKR in a transaction valued at $7.3 billion; Ventas Inc.'s acquisition of Sunrise Senior Living REIT; Banco Bilbao Vizcaya's pending acquisition of Compass Bancshares; US Airways' unsolicited takeover proposal to acquire Delta Air Lines; and Schneider Electric's acquisition of APC.
Her experience in shareholder activism situations and proxy contests currently includes advising CSX in its response to The Children’s Investment Fund. Ms. Repko also provides ongoing Investor and Public Relations support to Eastman Chemical and Milacron Inc.
Prior to joining Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher, Ms. Repko was an Associate at Sitrick And Company’s New York office and a member of the firm’s restructuring practice. Ms. Repko’s activities primarily focused on providing crisis communications support to companies undergoing bankruptcies, strategic media planning as well as aiding in the development and distribution of communications to key internal and external audiences. She has provided counsel to numerous high profile bankruptcy cases including Armstrong World Industries, Calpine, Collins & Aikman, Delphi, Mirant, Refco, Solutia, and Tower Records. Ms. Repko also provided counsel on a number of general media relations and crisis communications accounts.
Ms. Repko graduated from Hood College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Business Management. |
