Max Nerheim heads up the Research and Development group as a Vice President of R&D. Mr. Nerheim joined TASER full time April 2002. Prior that joining TASER International full-time, Mr. Nerheim served as a part time consult for TASER International beginning in 1998 and designed the ADVANCED TASER® M26 and M18 electronics, as well as the battery charger. He is the inventor of the TASER X26 Shaped Pulse Technology and holds several patents on the TASER X26 and other TASER technology. Before joining TASER International he was a Senior Hardware Engineer at Intel Corporation in Chandler, AZ. Before working for Intel, he was the Electrical Engineering Manager for Mobility Electronics, a maker of laptop computer power supplies, docking stations and accessories. Mr. Nerheim also worked for Celwave, a cell phone base station provider, and AED, an automotive electronics diagnostics supplier. Starting in 1998, Max was also a part time consult for TASER and designed the M26 and M18 electronics, as well as the battery charger. Mr. Nerheim is a graduate from Arizona State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Electrical Engineering. |
