Max Kay is the founder and CEO of KCI Computing and is the driving force behind KCI’s unique vision and innovative technical strategy. Kay founded KCI in 1977, authoring the company’s flagship software product, CONTROL®, a dynamic planning, modeling, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, consolidation and reporting solution. In the years following, Kay focused on bringing CONTROL to market, nurturing his growing client base, and building the culture that is the very fabric of KCI today. Kay molded a culture that is passionate about exceeding expectations set by customers for corporate performance management excellence, and delivering unsurpassed value in every client interaction. Today, he remains the chief software architect, steering product development, guiding many projects and actively working with customers and prospects alike to ensure CONTROL delivers financial transparency and anticipates market needs. Kay’s hands-on approach, client-centric focus, and unyielding demand for innovation and excellence have resulted in a long list of satisfied clients and lasting relationships. KCI customers span a broad range of industries and include Procter & Gamble, Raytheon Systems Company, Guess Inc., Citizens Business Bank, CMP Media, and Delta Dental, to name a few. Kay holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and English from the California Institute of Technology, along with a master’s degree in physics from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree in finance from Stanford University. |
