Maurice Castonguay, a Chief Financial Officer with four high-tech firms over the past 15 years, brings to the Cedar Point Board additional expertise with growth strategies, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions and Initial Public Offerings. In his most recent position, with MatrixOne, Inc., he was a key member of the team that engineered a highly successful IPO and concurrent private placement with a strategic partner. A 30-year corporate accounting and finance veteran, Castonguay was senior vice president, treasurer and CFO of MatrixOne, the Westford, MA software company, for a six-year period through 2004. Previously, he had been executive vice president, finance and administration and CFO of Stratus Computer, a publicly held computer company, and vice president, finance and administration and CFO of Gradient Technologies, an Internet security and infrastructure firm, From 1990-96, he held the roles of vice president, finance, CFO, treasurer and assistant secretary with Xylogics, a publicly-held Burlington, MA networking company that was acquired by Bay Networks in 1995. Castonguay began his career with Coopers & Lybrand and KPMG Peat Marwick, before entering the high tech industry with Natick, MA-based Prime Computer, where he held a variety of finance and accounting roles from 1978-90. He served for six years on the Board of Directors and was chairman of the audit committee of Media 100, a NASDAQ listed video editing firm. A high honors graduate of Bentley College with a BS in Accounting, Castonguay received his MBA from Babson College and his MS in Taxation from Bentley College. |
