Dr. Maureen T.F. Reitman is a Principal Engineer in Exponent's Mechanical Engineering and Materials/Metallurgy practice. Her expertise includes mechanics of materials adhesion science polymer and composite technology fiber mechanics corrosion science materials for telecommunications applications and material failure analysis. She is experienced in the use of material evaluation tools and test technologies including mechanical testing physical properties chemical analysis microscopy and statistical design of experiments. Dr. Reitman has conducted research in the area of protective coatings; silicone- acrylate- thermoplastic rubber- and polyamide-based adhesives; connectors and splices; optical fibers and related packaging; encapsulating greases gels and resins; polymer chemical resistance and product ageing.
