Maureen Kindel is president of Rose & Kindel, one of California’s premier public affairs firms. The company specializes in advocacy, government procurement, economic development, community relations and public outreach, media relations, and crisis management.
Prior to founding the company, Ms. Kindel was president of the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works, where her responsibilities included administering, directing and planning the programs and activities of a department with more than 5,000 employees and an annual budget of more than $500 million. During her tenure, Ms. Kindel administered a $2 billion-plus proposed clean water program for the City.
Her professional involvement includes the American Public Works Association, the Southern California Coastal Waters Organizing Committee and the Clean Water Committee.
Among her other professional and civic involvements, Ms. Kindel is a founding member of the Pacific Council on International Policy, a founding member of the International Women’s Forum, a member of the board of the Los Angeles Urban League and the Board of Governors of Town Hall of Los Angeles. She holds a master of arts degree in general education from Loyola Marymount University.
Ms. Kindel was first elected to the Southwest Water Board in 1997. |
