Dr. Matti Adan is a Managing Engineer in Exponent's Civil/Structural Engineering practice. Dr. Adan specializes in the analysis design failure investigation and damage restoration of industrial structures silos tanks commercial buildings public buildings bridges culverts and underground and retaining structures. He has worked with steel aluminum reinforced concrete prestressed concrete and composite systems. Dr. Adan also has special expertise in assessment and stabilization of structures damaged by earthquake or blast loadings and the engineering aspects of rescue operations at disaster sites. His academic research has focused on stability and post-buckling analysis of laminated and delaminated composites and high-order shear deformation theory.
Dr. Adan has ten years of structural engineering experience as chief structural engineer and seven years of experience in academic research at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Technion Israel. Dr. Adan taught at the Technion for 9 years as an Adjunct Teaching Associate at the Faculties of Civil Engineering and Architecture. |
