Matthew Santarpia joined CulinArt in 1998 as the company’s director of recruiting. Under his guise, CulinArt’s recruitment efforts were highly successful in garnering talented culinary and foodservice professionals to support the company’s aggressive growth in diverse markets and geographical areas. In 2002, Santarpia was promoted to director of training and development, where he is responsible for developing, coordinating and administering all of the company’s training programs. His Management Development Series includes a succession of workshops, seminars and lectures on topics ranging from culinary standards and techniques to customer service skills, and everything in between. Immediately upon assuming his new role, Santarpia introduced the New Manager Orientation Seminar whereby all new CulinArt managers are provided a formal introduction to the company, its vast resources and infrastructure. His ServeSafe certification seminars have successfully prepared over 150 CulinArt chefs and managers for HAACP certification. Santarpia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration. He began his career in the hospitality industry over 15 years ago and is actively involved in the American Culinary Federation, the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Restaurant Association, Council of Hotel & Restaurant Trainers, and various hospitality school advisory board committees. |
