With more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the life sciences industry, Mr. Malenfant is currently President, North American Lab Business, for VWR International, inc., a global supplier of laboratory equipment. Since 1995, he has held several senior executive positions with the company. In his current capacity, he is responsible for a $2 billion sales and operations entity serving the United States, Canada and Mexico. While at VWR, he also developed new Centers of Excellence in Europe and launched a Global Sourcing Team, which placed personnel in China and India to generate additional business, and he formed a service division that generated more than $300 million in sales. He has also held management positions with Baxter Healthcare Corp.
Mr. Malenfant is a member of the Board of Directors of the Laboratory Products Association. He holds bachelor’s degrees in marketing and broadcasting/communications from Arizona State University and has participated in the Executive Logistics Program at Penn State University and Executive Management Merck University.
