Matthew Gast is a nationally-recognized expert on issues related to wireless networking. He currently serves as Corporate Systems Engineer at Trapeze Networks. Prior to Trapeze, Mr. Gast was a member of the business development team at NetScreen, where he worked with strategic partners. His most recent book, .802.11 Wireless Networks: The Definitive Guide. (O.Reilly, April 2002), is a well-respected and best-selling reference on that rapidly emerging technology. Mr. Gast has assisted the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in developing wireless LAN security recommendations for the U.S. federal government.
