He has managed the selection installation software development and upgrade of Enterprise Resource Systems (ERP) for both private and public sector clients.

Prior to joining Huron Matthew was Manager in the Education Advisory Services Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Representative examples of Matthew's engagement experience include:
Performed numerous cost analysis studies to substantiate and optimize cost reimbursement on grants and contracts for numerous top-tier research universities and other nonprofit organizations. These studies included the performance of diagnostic reviews for and the preparation of the facilities and administrative cost rate proposals formulating and managing major special studies to support these proposals and establishing standards and future action plans to prepare the future proposals.
Represented a prestigious research hospital in the negotiation of their federal indirect cost rate and fringe benefit rate agreements.
Developed pricing models for information and telecommunications service centers for a large Mid-Atlantic university. For this engagement the cost of providing data voice and video services was determined providing the basis for developing and modeling strategic alternative pricing scenarios.
Managed a performance improvement project in response to the government's closure of a large West Coast university's major research program. Responsible for implementation of recommended corrective action plan related to problems uncovered during government audit.
Developed financial models and analyses for senior management at a prestigious academic medical center in Washington DC that identified profit and loss by service line and ultimately validated the decision to sell a major business segment of a large academic medical center. Was also instrumental in the development of the financial forecasting analysis and strategic plan for the remaining organization.
Developed a financial model for an academic medical center in the Southeast to evaluate and monitor anticipated capital projects based on their estimated 10-year financial performance. In addition designed a process for future capital planning including a business plan format for new project requests a project budget tracking mechanism and financial performance management tools.
Managed a team of approximately 40 team members in a software development and implementation project for an internal firm with the purpose of developing an interface from other supporting systems into the firm's financial accounting system.
Performed as team lead on an analysis for a large academic medical center to evaluate whether a fully integrated single vendor administrative software system could be implemented across the various organizations at both the Health System and University. Led the team in documenting the as-is state the business requirements for the new system and developing the criteria that would be used in evaluation of the vendor systems.
