Matthew Alpertreceived his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2001. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005. Mr. Alpert joined the firm in August of 2005, and his focus is the prosecution of securities fraud litigation. Some of the previous and ongoing cases that Mr. Alpert works on are the individual opt-out actions of the AOL-Time Warner Class Action (The Regents of the Univ. of California v. Richard Parsons, et. al and Ohio Pub. Employees Ret. Sys., et. al v. Richard Parsons, et. al.), In re U.S. Liquids Sec. Litig. (total settlement amount donated to environmental non-profit organization), In re Bridgestone Sec. Litig., In re Enron Corp. Sec. Litig. (pre-trial team), and Alaska Elec. Pension Fund, et. al v. Pharmacia Corp., et. al. Mr. Alpert is admitted to practice in the State of California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Federal District Courts for the Central, and Southern Districts of California. |
