Matthew T. Murphy is a senior associate in the Litigation Department. Mr. Murphy has a broad and varied background in a wide range of civil litigation areas. He has defended complex, document intensive, national toxic tort litigation as well as sick building and other environmental related cases. Mr. Murphy’s general litigation practice includes the defense of commercial, personal injury and real estate litigation as well as employment matters and landlord and tenant disputes. He also has substantial experience in guardianship, conservatorship and elder abuse cases. In addition to his trial work, Mr. Murphy is also experienced in arbitrations, mediations and other alternative dispute resolution forums. Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Ithaca College and Duke University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Massachusetts and is a member of the Boston Bar Association and American Bar Association. He is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and a former adviser to the Boston College Chapter of that organization. |
