Matthew S. Bodenstein is a registered patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group where he specializes in patent prosecution in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology fields. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Matt was a scientist in Merck’s Process Research division where he designed and implemented scalable syntheses for pre-clinical drug candidates. Matt also spent two years in the CNS Medicinal Chemistry group at Pfizer, where he designed and executed syntheses of novel small molecule drug candidates for treating diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
Matt earned his master's degree in organic chemistry in 2004 and his undergraduate degree in chemistry in 1998, both from the University of Pennsylvania. While earning his master's, Matt investigated the photochemical reactivity of macrocyclic vinylogous amides.
Matt is currently an evening student at the Temple University Beasley School of Law and anticipates his J.D. in May, 2008. |
