Matt is a director at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A., who practices in the areas of litigation, business law, construction law, and insurance law. Originally from Holmes County, Matt attended college and law school at the University of Akron, and is a member of the Ohio, Stark, and Tuscarawas Bar Associations.
Matt has built a client base which ranges from individuals in need of occasional advice to companies requiring assistance on a daily basis. A veteran of many jury trials, appeals, and hundreds of depositions, Matt's clients have come to expect advice designed to prevent disputes when it is possible, and aggressive representation when it is not.
In addition to providing legal representation, Matt has authored articles published in Ohio legal journals on issues such as insurance and construction law, and has spoken to nursing students on standards of care issues, insurance representatives on claims handling issues, college students on paralegal issues, and at general seminars on estate planning, business, and safety issues. He is also participated as a mock trial judge for high school and law school competitions. In addition, Matt has been named one of "Ohio Rising Stars of 2005" by Cincinnati Magazine Ohio Super Lawyers - Rising Stars Edition ® and www.superlawyers.com, and serves as a mentor in Supreme Court of Ohio Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program, training new lawyers on the fundamental skills and core values of professionalism essential to the practice of law.
Active in his community, Matt is a founding member of the Garaway Education Foundation, has served as Chairperson for several levy campaigns in the district, and has recently been recognized as Garaway's "Citizen of the Year" for his volunteer work on behalf of the district. He is a volunteer coach for youth sports programs, a Trustee of the Sugarcreek Free Methodist Church, and has served on several non profit and governmental boards over the years.
