Matthew K. White is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in its Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Firm's Tax Department.
Matt focuses his practice on the taxation of transactions involving U.S. and foreign corporations, with particular emphasis on taxable and tax-free acquisitions and dispositions, including reorganizations and spin-offs, and the consolidated return regulations. Matt also has experience with transactions involving tax-advantaged entities, such as regulated investment companies and real estate investment trusts, and assists clients with tax controversy matters before the IRS.
At Tulane University Law School Matthew received the Tulane Tax Institute Award. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the International Fiscal Association.
