Matthew Organ is an associate in the firm's Litigation and Labor & Employment Groups. Mr. Organ's practice focuses on general commercial litigation, and he has represented a variety of clients in cases involving contract disputes, commercial torts and white collar criminal matters. He also has experience litigating employment disputes, defending against claims of discrimination based on race, national origin, and age, and handling matters involving the Family and Medical Leave Act. Mr. Organ has been actively involved in pro bono matters, including the successful appeal of a criminal drug conviction, the favorable settlement of a prison abuse case and a favorable decision to reinstate disability benefits in an administrative appeal. Prior to law school, Mr. Organ represented several school board associations on a variety of employment matters, including the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements and the preparation of briefs and exhibits for grievance arbitration cases. While receiving his law degree from the University of Wisconsin, Mr. Organ was elected to the Order of the Coif. He earned his B.S. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University.
Mr. Organ is admitted to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
