Matthew Scanlan serves as head of the Americas Institutional Business at BGI. He is responsible for managing the sales and service effort in the US, Canada, and Latin America focusing on the defined benefit, defined contribution and treasury markets for corporate, public, and Taft-Hartley plans, as well as central banks, endowments, and foundations. Prior to joining BGI in 1997, Matt worked at Sanford C. Bernstein and Co., Inc. He also served as a senior portfolio manager at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago. Matt received his MM in accounting and finance from the J.L. Kellogg School at Northwestern University and his BA in economics from the University of Southern California where he was a Phi Beta Kappa. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, the Immediate Past Chair of the Executive Advisory Board of the CFA Institute, and is NASD Series 3, 7, 24, 63, and 65 licensed. Matt also serves on the Finance Board for the Foundation of the City College of San Francisco and on the Board of Trustees for The Mechanics' Institute. |
