Matthew E. Leno is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Boston office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, where his practice focuses on litigation, patent and trademark prosecution, counseling and transactions.
Matthew’s experience includes work in the chemical, mechanical and software fields, and representing clients in such diverse areas as cell phone technology, information filtering technology, data systems, chemical processing, consumer packaging, surgical products, tracking systems and attorney malpractice.
Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, Massachusetts, the U.S. District Courts for Massachusetts and the Northern District of Illinois as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Matthew served two years as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
