Matt Bousquette is president of the Mattel Brands business unit and is responsible for all aspects of marketing, design packaging and research on a global level for the company’s girls and boys brands. The global division includes the Barbie® and Hot Wheels® power brands, as well as brands based on licensed entertainment properties.
Prior to the consolidation of the Girls and Boys/Entertainment business units in February 2003, Bousquette was the president of the Boys/Entertainment division, as well as the president of International.
Bousquette joined Mattel as senior vice president of marketing for Activity Toys in December 1993, and was promoted to general manager of Boys Toys in July 1995. He was named executive vice president of Boys Toys in May 1998, and was promoted to president of Boys/Entertainment March 1999. He previously worked for the company from 1984 to 1988.
Bousquette came to Mattel from Lewis Galoob Toys, where he served as vice president of Marketing from 1992 to 1993, and was vice president of Marketing for Teleflora from 1988 to 1992. Bousquette began his career in marketing at Procter & Gamble.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1981 and sits on the Board of Directors for Logitech International.
