Matt is responsible for the Finance, Vendor Management, and Risk departments at First National Merchant Solutions. Matt oversees all financial aspects of the processing and settlement of merchant files, regulatory changes and updates, contracts with external vendors and the risk management of over $31 billion in annual volume. Matt began his career at First National as an Auditor in 1997 where he supervised, planned, and performed audits of the affiliate banks, Trust, Mortgage Loans, and Retail Banking Divisions. Matt took over the management of the Accounting area for the Merchant division in 1999 and was promoted to Vice President in 2001. Matt directed project teams responsible for developing and implementing core processing system changes. During this time, Matt oversaw multiple system projects to increase operating efficiencies within the division. Matt is a graduate of the University of South Dakota. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Financial Services Auditor.
