Matt grew up in Detroit, Michigan where he learned to ski at Mt. Brighton Ski Resort and worked in the Ford production plant. He decided to make a lifestyle change and moved to Aspen with his good friend Dex. In Aspen he learned to speak American Express and taught people to slide down hills with sticks on there feet with the Aspen Ski School. Unfortunately, while training for a powder 8’s competition he lost his best friend in an avalanche. There’s a reason nobody skis that mountain. Upon winning the 8’s with another friend, an Olympic hopeful from Oregon, he decided to move to Jackson, where skiing is the easy part. |
