As Director of Technology at Lab49, Matt Davey has extensive knowledge and experience of the London financial market and is an expert in a multitude of technology domains. Matt is responsible for overseeing the hiring of UK consultants and the delivery of projects in the UK.
Matt brings to Lab49 a wealth of knowledge about systems programming, object-oriented compiler design and programming languages, multi-threaded and distributed design and implementation, client-server, multi-tier and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and application development using both object and relational databases. His in-depth knowledge of IT systems and applications is combined with an equally excellent understanding of the financial market space - from equities to derivatives, to foreign exchange, options, bond option pricing, securities, SWAPS, risk management, credit scoring, STP, order management and settlement.
Previously, Matt has been a consultant to Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he was part of the core grid development team responsible for building service and monitoring tools for use by other application groups. Matt has also worked for international investment banks, including JPMorgan Chase, Fortis Bank, Deutsche Bank, Tullett & Tokyo Liberty, Credit Suisse First Boston, Lehman Brothers and CitiBank.
