Mr. Jansson has a proven track record in Sales and Marketing of solutions for supply chain improvement. He has deep expertise and experience in Retail industry vendor compliance programs such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Global Data Synchronization (GDSN), and Radio Frequency ID (RFID). Having made his mark in leading technology companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems and EDS, Mr. Jansson was also instrumental in taking a software startup, Extricity Software, through intense growth and a successful acquisition. Before joining Tagistics, Mr. Jansson ran his own consulting firm, Optimal Trade Solutions, providing on demand Sales and Marketing services to clients such as EDS, Palm Computing and Universal Guardian. This was a logical extension of Mr. Jansson’s tenure at EDS, where as portfolio executive, he completely modernized the product offering of a $50 Million global EDI business to generate higher growth, higher margin business. Prior to EDS, Mr. Jansson held several key roles at Extricity Software, an innovation leader in the B2B process integration market. Contributions here included closing a major OEM agreement with BEA Systems, resulting in Extricity’s software being included in every deal. In addition, Mr. Jansson was instrumental in passing the product review due diligence for the exit acquisition by a major software vendor in 2001. Over a 4 year period, Mr. Jansson saw the company grow from 50 to 350 employees. Before joining Extricity Software, Mr. Jansson successfully ran his own B2B consulting practice, LiNK, with clients such as Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, EDS, Philips Semiconductors, PGP Security and Maxis Software. During this time, Mr. Jansson was the product visionary behind 3 EDI-related patents for electronic exchange of service order data, and the development of EDI over the Internet standards (EDI-INT AS1). |
