Mats Granryd joined Ericsson India Pvt. Limited as President - Ericsson India & Sri Lanka on 18th July 2005. Earlier he was President of the Ericsson Mobile Systems CDMA Business Unit (BU) in San Diego, CA.
Mats Granryd, a graduate of the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, has more than 15 years of experience in engineering, marketing, sales and management.Prior to joining Ericsson, he was a senior management consultant for Anderson Consulting and later, a partner with Arrigo Consultants.
In 1995, Mats Granryd joined Ericsson as Manager of Production on the Nynashamn (Plant) factory.Then in 1997 he became a Key Account Manager for Telia Mobile, where he was responsible for leading all sales and marketing efforts for the Nordic operator.Soon after, he was promoted to Vice President of Ericsson Mobile Business Solutions and then to Head of Market Unit North Africa/President, Ericsson Egypt, where he lead a team of more than 350 people in 20 countries.
After a two-year assignment, Granryd was named as Head Core Unit Supply/Vice President and General Manager of Ericsson. His responsibilities included leading all supply and logistics activities within the global Ericsson organization and managing a team of more than 9,000 employees. He directed all Ericsson factories and associated flow control centers, as well as strategic supply. Under his leadership, the company achieved positive cost of sales, without any supply disturbances.
