He was appointed for the first time a Director of the Bank on 7 October 1988. He was re-elected by the General Meetings of shareholders of 1989, 1992, 1995, 1998, 2000, 2003 and of 18 June 2005.
Other relevant posts: Former Minister of the Presidency of the Spanish Government (1981-1982). At present, he is also a non-executive Director of Banco Español de Crédito (Banesto) and a non-executive Director of Financiera Ponferrada. |
