Mr. Castelli was born in Rome on July 17, 1959.
He was appointed General Manager of Domestic Fixed Services on February 16, 2007.
Mr. Castelli began his career at Olivetti S.p.A.’s domestic Commercial Division in 1985. He moved to Olivetti group company Olivetti Telemedia in 1993.
In April 1996, he joined Infostrada S.p.A.
Mr. Castelli was hired by Telecom Italia in 2001 to work at the Telecom Francia Business Unit. That same year, he took over responsibility for marketing at the Domestic Wireline Business Unit.
Mr. Castelli moved to Telecom Italia Mobile at the end of 2004 as Head of, Marketing & Sales. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company (which in the meantime had changed its name to TIM Italia S.p.A.) in April 2005.
Following a management reshuffle at the Telecom Italia Group, in October 2005 Mr. Castelli became Chief Marketing Officer, answering to the CEO of Operations. |
